Default Trying Crappie.com SlabSauce - Video

Finally got done editing this video. I tried out the SlabSauce from c.com. I caught a ton of crappie, however I fishing mid-day and during a cold front. The crappie I did catch were all around 7-8inches so no giants, but still fun. Hope you enjoy the video.

Flopping crappie, you did a good job producing this video, Vertical fishing on a Labor Day weekend using Crappie Sliders and Slab sauce is a formula for success. It is nice knowing you can solve electrical problems with trolling motors at a moment's interest. The slab sauce works and I like the way those seven inch crappie swallow the entire lure. They think they are big. Glad you had fun. Thanks for sharing your video.

Thanks Shipahoy41! I do have a question about applying the slabsauce. Should I use marabou jigs since the scent will stick to better or does it matter?

Excellent video. Fishing is really tough on a big holiday weekend, regardless of where you go. Double jig, single poling should be the way to go. I'm having similar problems - finding fish with bait - just can't get them to hit! Guess that's why they call it "Fishing"!

Great video fc. What do you use to get such good audio?

Thanks for posting. Let me know if you need more slabsauce. With videos like this I'll certainly keep you stocked up with slabsauce. Love to see two real slabs caught at once.

Thanks Slab. I use a go pro hero 4 with a Movo lapel mic. And I plan on doing more videos using slabsauce while fishing in better conditions than mid-day/cold front. I do have a question about the sauce. Should I be using marabou jigs so the scent sticks better? and do I need to the let the jig dry before tossing it in the water?

You can spray it on any jig or even crankbait. It's oil based and leaves an oil residue. I've always been impressed on how long the residue remains on a crank bait even when trolling two miles an hour. Real it in after 15 minutes and you can still feel the oily film. Never woulda thought. And I'd suggest you press quicker and more firmly on the sprayer. It should come out in a mist which would give you better coverage especially in a large crankbait. But I suppose on a jig the stream would work just fine. Still I alway mist it just off the side of the boat. Hope that helps and best of luck.
