Size: 51.1 KBHere's my boat it's a Lowe roughneck 1860 with a Yamaha 4stroke 70 tiller with hydraulic jack plate and has a 24v terrova 80 with ipiolot. I have a hummingbird 1199 at the moment but will eventually have another up front with everything linked. I've always single pole fished shot docks/casted jigs etc. I've recently purchased a good set of rod holders to rig/longline with and want some opinions on a few other things. I have a t-rail that runs the length of my boat and wondered since I have a remote to my terrova would it be worth it to mount a few single holders on each side in the rail and long line off the side from my seats in the back. I have extra bases for my rod holders I just bought so that's always a option to turn them up front. Wanted opinions on how you guys would go about setting a boat like this up since I haven't seen many threads on big open boats. Also some opinions on a single pole double seat for the front deck. It's plenty big enough up front but I just don't have room to add 2 more bases for 2 separate seats. Any opinion is appreciated. Thanks

Thanks doggone. It has been for me I duck hunt and crappie fish so it was a happy medium for me.

This is what I would do. Get in front seat, turn facing the back, put a rod holder back as far as you can and easily reach rods. If that's possible that is where I would mount the extra bases. Just turn around and longline or pull cranks from front seat. More comfortable than you would think. One of those tubing made double seat setups should work fine up there.

This one is more expensive but probably the best engineered and safest one you can buy today.
