Default Rain, Rain and More Rain

Unable to get on the water safely. Hopefully, this weather will clear out so I can get back on the water. Don't know what it is now but at last count we're up to 4" of rain in some places, lots of lightning and a few twisters bouncing around the state.

I checked the water temp this morning and it was down to 76. As every day goes by I'm getting more and more anxious for the fall feeding frenzy. The crappie still seem to be in transition somewhat and the changing weather makes it different from one day to the next. So, the best thing to do is work at fishing. We dropped 32 new tops in Lake Greeson last week and plan on starting on Lake DeGray in a few days.

    Good Fish'in to you all.

Send that rain to us in Meridian MS, we really need it. I don't think I have had to cut my whole yard over 4 times this year, just over the field line and I usually need to cut about every 10 days in summer.

Don't get me wrong, no complaints here. We really needed it. I just didn't realize it was all going to come in one day, LOL.

Fishing is slow at best here. I was hoping for enough water to flush out the lake. Slabbandit and I are going to Nimrod tomarrow to sink brushpiles. I'm ready for the fall bite, just waiting on the fish!

With cooler weather coming the water temps should start falling again, which should get them in the mood for THUMPING!

Raining here in illinois day straight now. Some twisters touched down in illinois. Funnel clouds were spotted where I am but no touchdowns.

After the rain cleared out yesterday, the birds were out in force, especially the hummingbirds.

Got on the water this morning and had a great time. We didn't kill'em but we got a good mess.
