I use a slip float setup. There is a great stickie at the top of this forum called knots and rig drawings for beginners. Great reading.

I do a lot of bank fishing. My favorite method is to use a casting bobber (at wal-mart, orange with lead at the bottom and come in a couple of different sizes) with a 1/32nd jig under it. I only attach my line to the top of the bobber and after I cast out I continuously jiggle my rod tip as I retrieve so that the bobber pulses. I only retrieve fast enough to stay in contact with the bobber. I like bobby garland shads but wal-mart carries an imitation called the sexee shad. Any jig dressing, body, grub etc works with this method. The length of line under the bobber depends on the depth i want to fish, here in DE there is not a lot of water over 10ft in most of the ponds so I start with about 3ft under and go longer or shorter until I find a depth that works.

I also utilize a tandem rig. I tie them similarly to a salt water spec rig. I either use two jigs of the same weight or will put a heavier one on the bottom, cast reitrieve and twitch.

Hope this helps. It's how I roll haha

Ponds hold lots of surprises, especially if they ain't yours. Never know
whats gonna jump on that jig. I like surprises of all species and sizes.
