    Default Restoration/Transformation Complete

Last fall I posted some pictures of my 1988 Allison which I was planning to convert into a 90 mph crappie boat. It is now finished and ready to go chase fishes.

It cost right at $20,000 to put together but I am super happy with the results (even if it's only worth $12,000 - $14,000)

Here are some pictures of the finished product:

That Allison looks great! Have you had a chance to play with the set-up and stretch her legs? If so how does it run? I may have to have one myself one day. I have always admired those rigs, very fast and efficient and super easy to tow.

My boat is a Lowe 2070 Roughneck with 90 HP Suzuki four stroke. I mostly fish the brackish water of the Pamlico River and it's tributaries (Blounts Creek, North Creek, Pungo Creek and River, Campbells Creek, and a few others for Striped Bass, Flounder, Speckled Trout, and others. Crappie fishing is a recent addition when I'm not offshore in salt or inshore in brackish water. OH

I raised the motor on the jack plate this morning to set the prop shaft centerline even with the pad. I'm still a little wobbly with the new hydraulic steering but I saw 83 mph gps this morning. It was a little too rough to air her out completely but she definitely has more to give.

It aint purddy lol. Its a 2003 18ft smokercraft toon. It runs a 50 hp mercury. It aint fast either. What it is is a very stable comfortable fishing platform. I use a 50# thrust minkota riptide sp on it. I have 2 lowerance ff on it. In front a kowerance elite5 ti at the helm a elite7 ti chartplotter.
My only complaint is it catches to much wind. I guess thats what anchors are for. Notice the pink cover on the one up front. My grandaughter donated that and being a "very unusual grandpa" as she tells me I am it will stay on. I wont mention my purple toenails she made me promise to not take off. Lol
Its usually not in that big of a mess. Just thought one should be shown in working shape. Lol

I added a Lowrance fishfinder last week. It's used, but like new. Haven't been out to use it yet, but soon.
