Tracker marine is offering an option to upgrade on the motor to a 50 or 60 for only $1000 +/-, I have a 04 PT175 w/ a 60 2stroke, and it goes low to mid 30's w/o trouble. If you have a place to store the boat inside, then you won't have any problems whatsoever. The floor in my 175 is just as solid as it was the day I bought. The one thing I don't like about it is with 2 people in the boat, one in the front and other in the rear, when one moves, the boat moves from side to side. Read the warranty on the wood flooring offered by tracker, believe its a lifetime limited warranty to the original purchaser, so if you buy new, you're good. GL in your journey.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

If you really like the War Eagle, then get it.

The extra money that you put down now may keep you from having to do it all over again later.

Get what you want the first time and take care of it, and you will have years of satisfaction. Nothing worse than saving a few bucks now, and then wishing that you hadn't later.

I'm looking at several boats and looking for some feedback on the models. I really like the War Eagle Predador 861 but it's super expensive compared to the rest. The models I'm looking at are below.

    G3 Eagle 176
    • Biggest Con is wood decking
    • Can only get 70hp motor (2 stroke)
    • I like the boat other than the decking

    Lowe ST 195
    • This didn't jump out at me on the showroom but looks promising.

Bass Tracker Pro Team 175 TF
    • Have to add 2 person seating up front

    War Eagle 861 Predator
    • The only thing I don't like is the price.
    • Have to special order a trailer with breakaway tongue so it'll fit in my garage
I just sold a 21" Xpress w/200 Yamaha which had about 50 hrs on it. I bought a Xpress 16' stick steering crappie boat with a 2011 40 hp Yamaha on it a little over a month ago, and I absolutely love it. It is a kick in the pants boat to fish out of. I have never had so much fun fishing. It is also the best gas saver I have ever owned period.

That's the exact line of thinking I used when I was looking at boats. Wound up with a WE 860 DSV. It's will serve as a duck rig too, so no carpet/frills needed or wanted. It was higher than some I priced, and lower than others. Great rig so far, the one I wanted, still the one I want. Very happy with the outcome. Get what you want and don't look back.

All the boats mentioned are nice boats. Before you buy, make sure the boats fits YOUR fishing style. I sell Xpress , and Excel. Give these boats a look!!!!!

The Excel Crappie 860 (Multi Species) side console model comes with an extremely open floor plan, Dual Live Wells, and Three Across Seating. Also check out the Stalker Side Console models. Both are super nice boats with fully foam injected hulls, (both of these boats have an exceleration hull which is smoother riding than a mod-v) and are built with stringers like a fiberglass bass boat. They are owned by Mud Buddy!!

The other models you should consider are the Xpress H18-PFC's. Great multi species boats with dual live wells, and three across seating in the front. They also come with foam injection, stringer system, and Pad Ride ( Hyper Lift ) Hulls. Pad Ride Hulls are extremely soft riding in ROUGH water, just like a fiberglass boat without the weight, and the hull gives you better performance. The 18' model is the WIDEST 18' boat on the aluminum boat market with a 67" Bottom, and 94" Beams!!!!! We also are making a 17' model for 2012. PM me for more details, or text, email, or call.

    Thanks, Bill

The width on the Lowe's are nice if fishing 2 wide up front.

Got a price on a new Lowe stinger 195 with a 90 4 stroke for a hair above 17 thousand, seems like a decent price.
