I got an invitation to hunt Dove tomorrow with a group of friends that does a shoot every year. I truly love the early season shoots and the friendships that go along with them. I'll probably not sleep well tonite anticipating tomorrows fun. I need to fish too but I don't think there's enough of me to go around. Fish next weekend. If y'all are hitting the fields tomorrow, be safe and help others whenever you can and make their day as good as it can be. This fat boy is gonna have fun!!!

Hard to tell just how big that one is. My best day ever on gills was a pretty long time back as a friend and I were bass fishing and started getting the tails bit off our worms. We went and got some crickets and got 42 all in that same spot (if I remember right it was about 11' deep next to a little leaning standing timber) And the smallest was 3/4 pound and the biggest was 13/4. Our average was really close to the mid point between the two numbers. We had a ball.

Wonderful dilema to have. My wife, just yesterday, commented that all was right again in in my world. There is something to hunt, college football season started and good fall fishing is right around the corner.

My son and I went after the doves on Saturday and both bagged a limit. Hunted with a friend and his dad. Good times and good memories made.

DVR'd the Cats beating Loserville and watched after plucking feathers. Good day in the Commonwealth!!
