I fish mostly small lakes... Electric Trolling Motor only no gas outboards.
I used to fish out of a 16 Ft Old Towne Guide Canoe, but am in a 16Ft Tracker now and use the PowerDrive with 2 batteries.
I dont catch a lot of Crappie, but the ones I catch are keeper size. Lots of Bream, White Perch, Cats and Large mouth.
Most days I never see another boat, and when I do it's usualy a kayak or a canoe.

I usually fish oxbow lakes, the biggest of which is maybe 80 - 100 acres and catch a lot of really good crappie.
you guys are in my head. I love to fish small lakes, ponds, river beds, etc. Im currently fishing these areas and leaving Reelfoot alone till spring. But they are really hammering them at Reelfoot. I just like to be out there alone. I enjoy the fishing beter than the catching and when I catch them its that much beter. These spots are all off the mississippi river and ahve potential for huge crappie. Its alot of fun even if you dont catch but a few.
I don't think I'm smart enough to consistently find fish on big lakes. I figure I'll catch them in the small lakes if they are biting at all.
This works for me. Never a problem to get into small ponds...

PaddleFishing,
If I ever replace my "waterwagon" and I hope I don't have to, I will most likely get this boat.
Pontoon Boats
The Tahoe Fisher model. I think Cabelas sells them. They are very reasonably priced and get good reviews but I have never used one.
