I own a 2008 175 Stinger and love my boat but it had problems direct from the factory with welds down the keel. I got those fixed and have not had any more problems. Lowe customer support was awesome. Only thing I would change is the motor. I should have got the 75 hp instead of the 50 hp that it comes with. It needs a little more speed and a little more weight in the back because I sometimes have problem with the front end digging and spray coming over the front. Yes I have the motor trimmed properly but i still get wet alot of times. All in all a great boat and great service.
I've checked them out at boat shows and there's a lot to like. My only problem is that in the few I've seen up close and personal, every one of them has had poor welds and there are a lot of unfinished metal edges.

I started to get the Stinger 175, But got the alumacraft Classic 165cs and love it, Got the yam 75HP 4S REAL WELL made and lots of room, just right for when my 4 year old grandbaby wants to go fishing, deepV so it takes the waves and no spray, look at the Alumacraft line you might find one you like,![]()

I owned a Lowe boat for 20 years and never had any problems with it (not Stinger). I would highly recommend a Lowe but while your at it, you want to take a looksie at the War Eagle 860.

Lowe is a very nice boat for the money! I have a lowe stinger 175 with a 60 mercury on it ,and it rides great , and trims out of the hole very quick for only 60 ponies. I like the room it has , and all the space for the fish and bait . The only complaint is the front seat bases should be closer to the front of the deck, but that is my opinion I troll for crappie a lot!!
Does anyone have any pics of there Lowe Stingers that they could post? So how is the ride in these boats? Speed? Not like it really matters much to me. Is it nice have the dual livewells instead of the extra storage?
Omen you can fix that problem for about $220.00. Had the same problem it's not the boat. I felt the same way. Check your prop bet it is weak. Put a good stainless steel prop on it for $220.00 delivered and you will be able to increase your speed about 2 mph. Boat will jump out of the hole, you will be suprised how fast you get up on plane and it will be just like a new boat to you. I have the same boat as you with a 50 hp 2 cycle merc. I didn't change the pitch, size or nothing else just put the same sized prop on except it is stainless steel. It handles fast turns better and I really think I am burning less gas also. I mean there is no slip just touch the gas and your gone. Have noticed that I am trimming the boat different and the boat is setting better in the water at top speed. PM me and I will send you the link for the stainless steel prop. Oh and that $220.00, was about $221.14 I think I am within a dollar or two and that includes a new hub kit and shipped right to your front door. Brand new Apollo prop. And it is a heck of a lot cheaper that what that 75 hp motor would have cost us.
