Default Favorite UL

I'm a fan of the Shimano Symetre 750, loaded with either 2# or 4# test mono. I put this on my B n' M "Sams Super Sensitive" 7' rod. A fine, quality rig that will catch anything. The recent increase in price of the Symetre & Sahara models, might make me go down one model, to a Sahara instead of the Symetre, if I had to purchase another. I have 4 Saharas and 2 Symetres (old style, both models) and they're great reels.

I could not tell you a performance difference between these two Shimanos.

I use various rods/reels depending how I am fishing. For short rods to shoot dockd and to troll out of the back of the boat I like MicroLite rods. Excellent action with these rods. For longer rods I have used a variety, I just like them to be as flexible as possible keeping in mind fishing out of the front of the boat. I don;t think MicrLite makes the longer rods. As far as reels go I just like a quality reel. They don't have to be the best. I like Flueger the best but Mitchell is good.
