When I came to Florida, I had a small aluminum boat. Later, I bought a used larger fiberglass boat with a 25 hp motor. I have learned that I need that smaller boat to tow behind my big boat so I can use it for the bait monkey's tackle box.

I have learned sac-a-lait means, sack of milk in french cajun and I have learned it takes 2 to 3 years for a crappie to reach maturity (over 8 inches) and most never live past 5 yrs.

I have learned that you have to have another hobby in case you are not catching fish. I took up collecting drift wood years ago and have one heck of a collection

I have learned I will do just about anything to feel that thumb on the end of my line. Nothing like vertical jigging crappie.

oh well maybe eating them is right up there

Being's I have just started targeting crappie in August, I have learned many things. Fishing a crappie tourney also taught me some things. I'll list a few.
    1. I need a better depth/fish finder
    2. Crappie are not as easy to learn as most people would think.
    3. Keep learning from others on this site to help me figure out what I should be doing to get into the fish.
