i'm kinda new to slipfloats what is the difference between the pencil and the normal fatter shorter ones? does the pencil one sink easier because its skinnier?

You mean the difference between the following two?





I would think the "fatter" one (shown on the first pic above) will take more weight/lead then the "pencil" one

The top float has a "body up" shape which is better for fishing rivers. Wagglers have a "body down" shape and are designed for still waters. Pencil floats do neither well, IMO.

There's an all-in-one float out now that can be spring snapped on or rigged slip. Comal tackle makes the ones for Wally world, they have a big product line in on their site that alot of stores dont carry. comaltackle.com
