    Question Ferdi aka Fred

I missed the instructions on making the PVC rod holders and need to know what size PVC are you using? I really enjoy setting back and reading all the postings, this site has really been helpful and brought back some things forgotten.

i looked up the post you made and i will answer it guess i missed it . but i use a 7 inch pipe for my holders . have made some out of larger for stripper fishing or cat fish . they will work for crappie but all over i like the ones i have now the ones might be called 6 inch i measured about 61/2 out side so it may be called 6 .i use the heaveryu grade . my first i drilled a hole in one end and used a sabor saw to notch out the other end . used a table saw to cut the long mount hole and it lets you set the angle . could drill a hole in wher you want the slot to start and end and cut with saborsaw . . i made the slot wide enough for a 1/4 nut to slide through. ran a 1/4 bolt up through the mounting serface and put a nut on it . used a bolt long enough to leave a stud to put a wing nut and a flat 1/4 fender washe. if you can find a stainless steel in all the mettle bolts and washers it will be better . a little pricey but willnot rust .the brackets i made them out of a dress rack that was discarde from a womens clothing store . will need a welder to make them like mine .
