I would think you would be OK with that one from looking at the charts if your only using 12v trolling motor what is your thrust? And what kind of fishing are you going to do if your trolling all day it may be worth going to the bigger batt but someone will chime in that knows a little more on the subject.I just bought 3 of the 34 and i really hope there worth the price so far I have trolled all day and haven't used half of the battery life.

    Thanks
Take it back and have them order you a D34 bluetop. It's made specifically for fishing. The other is a car battery. You want the bluetop cause its made to withstand an awful lot of re-charges. I have 3 D34's and they're awesome.

What brand of home charger will give these optimas the strongest charge in the quickest time? My charger doesn't seem to get it higher than 12.3 volts and i know it should be up above 13.5.

    Default Interstate

I bought two batteries from Interstate SIX years ago( one deep cycle, one regular for the big motor). Never had a problem with them.
And I paid 69.00 for one and 82 for the other one, a long way from the
hundred or two hundred for the Optima. I've run Interstate for over fifteen
    years now and no problems.
