Thread: Caught a few!

These are a few of the fish from Sunday. Me and a buddy fished the lake on base. We caught them on hand tied jigs around cypress in 4ft. of water. There were 21 all total, but I just took a picture of the bigger fish that I hadn't cleaned yet. We had 4 green trout to go with em. The biggest crappie was 1.89lbs. Had a blast and I'm ready for the weather to straighten out to maybe go agian!

Good looking fish there... never got to fish the base lakes... heard there's killer fish in them though.

Nice bunch of black crappie there. Ever notice black crappie fight different from white. In my experience the blacks make more "wild runs" where as the whites pull heavy and slower.

Thanks for the replies guys! Yeah those Black crappie can really stretch a line! They got some sholders on em! I just talked to my buddy a minute ago and he said he could get away this afternoon, so maybe we can have a repeat.:D
