i see a bunch of you guys are having good days on the bend like i had this past weekend. my old dad and i found two beds in 2ft of water and ended with 71 large sacs. most of them averaged 1.75 lbs. we also had two goodons, one went 2lbs 4ounces, the other 2lbs 6 ounces. all were caught on shiners & bobby garland jigs, licorice/char red flake. the fun part about it ,we never had to crank the motor. all were caught about 50ft. from our bout dock. i like when that happens. so get out there and give them a go. good fishing, god bless
What part of the lake are yall in, north, middle or south? Not wanting to know exactly where, just a general area... Congrats on the catch and thanks for the report.
You can't fish with a hung line!
caught 23 Sunday in about 1 1/2 hours next to our camp on Toledo bend in 2 ft. of water. 13 to 16 inches long. fished them 10 inches under cork with black and chart. tube jig. now is the time to be on the lake fishing. with the 3 to 5 inches of rain on the way down here and cool temperature this weekend, will make finding the sac-a-lait a little harder
mr. j laughlin i fish san patricio creek, just north of 1215 area. supolvados landing. fish coves towards back of creek.
Never cranked the motor the whole time we fished. Left the dock with trolling motor and stayed on it.
We found the fish to be in 2 - 4 feet late in the afternoon. But in the morning they were a little deeper. 10 - 11 feet. When the sun came up on one bank we switched to the other that was still in shade and found them at the same depth. Them crappie do not like to much sun.
I can't leave now; They fixen to turn on.
