    Default The lake I fish

I thought i'd share a few pics of the lake i fish mainly now... the 1st pic is the far left side, it has a good tree line bank with some submerged timber and grass and a small set of docks and a wall, the 2nd pic is the docks I jig a lot and the 3rd pic is the right side of those docks, it bends out around the curve to the right and goes back about a mile with a ton of little off shooting canals with some good bass banks and flooded timber and runs into another lake that has reeds, cat tails and more underwater timber. Working on getting a jon boat set up so i can fish the rest of this place... a few people have said they've caught L.Bass up to the 10lb. range and Crappie in the 3lb. range. This whole lake that I know of only runs about 7' deep at the deepest point.

You can't fish with a hung line!

This lake is no secret, it sits right off the Clyde Fant Prkwy, but it's owned by the 2 Apartment complexes and 1 Condo complex management company... so you have to be (1) a resident of one of these properties or (2) accompanied by a resident of one of the properties.

Oh yeah it's convenient, I just load the truck up and drive the half mile to the docks and fish all I want. It's got L.Bass, Stripers, Crappie, Brim, Carp, Gar and Catfish in it (those are what i've either caught or seen come out of it)... so there's a bit of everything to suit all anglers. But the main thing is it's quiet and everyone who fishes it are respectful of each other.

Many years ago before everything was built up, the old amusement park had a train that went around it. It was originally Hamel's Dairy, then Hamel's Park. A friend of mine use to fish it back in the mid 80's for bass. It can be pretty darn good.

No not entirely... but everytime i go there there's new x-mas trees laid all over the place out in the water... tired of losing jigs and stuff because people can't quit laying their trash in the water.

Well those trees are some sort of boy scout project from what I was told, or maybe its just someone covering their butt, I don't know. But I got tired of snagging up every cast... have you noticed how green the water is there?
