Thread: LaPlace, Kenner, West Bank area Bait Shops in area???

Any bait shops in and around the LaPlace, Kenner, West Bank that have freshwater minnows, crickets, wigglers, red worms, etc...I've been jig fishing for sacs but bream will start up soon and I want to take some kids out and they do not do the jig fishing well. I know there is one out in Norco but it's closed most of the time I go out that way. I guess I can go to the PetCo/PetMart and get some crickets and red worms, or Wally World for some nightcrawler, catch minnows in the canal or something. Any information would be appreciated.

I don't know that area but if there is an academy near by, they usually have some cold worms. Wal-Mart usually has some worms also but I believe you had already said that.

Try Sportmans Express. It's across the river 1/2 mile from the 310 offramp on 90(west bound toward Des allmand). The used to have shiners, crickets, and worms. Give them a call. I think that Sportsmans Express is its current name. Would be listed under Boutte.
