I think they are catching fish in the main lake. Fish the bank that follows the road bank. Fish any peice of structure. Also around the island there are plenty cypress trees to jig around. I don't know if they are biting in the bayous at all? I went last weekend and caught about 15 catfish but didn't sacalait fish at all. The water temp at the surface was 62-63 but with this warm weather they should be on this weekend. Im so jealous! Good luck!! Its a beautiful place!!:D

My brother and I will be on Larto Saturday too. Not sure what to do though. Heard they were catching them a while back but havent heard much lately. We'll be in an aluminum Tracker with a 40 on the back, if you see us say hey.

If you are spending the night bring about two dozen yo-yo's and out them out baited with shiners. There are plenty of limbs and branches to hang them from. Just watch for water snakes!!! You may not catch many white perch on them but you will probably do really well on just right eating size catfish. It will give you something fun to do beside sitting around in a cabin or campsite.
