    Default Prt 3-17-09

Make that 3-17-09....stress has me discombobulatededed

After work trip with brother in law. 1st gravel pit. 3-6' in 10 FOW ...
under corks! They didn't want the jigs to move unless they got 'em on the fall. Kinda slow, but good company and a frothy beverage after a work day is even greater.

On another note for SE guys, went to the Rice Field canal(s) on the Tchefuncte river this eve after work for my first trip and caught nada. A few (nice size) were being caught though...on grass shrimp under a cork under the guste island rd bridge IN the Rice Field. The bite for those guys cut off when the pump came on and dumped in. Hope to be able to take some time and learn the area sooner or later b/c I think it has a lot of potential. The temp on my depth finder said 74.....ya might wanna check that?

Hey Adam, U fished the wildlife pond or the little on I talked about last week? Were u up there yesterday afternoon? My dad and brother went to the little one yesterday and saw 4 boats plus them in there. Again going to try to sneek up there either this afternoon or in the morning.

is that the one in Honey Island? If so, nope.
Been wanting to b/c I've heard great things about it, but my boat is not registered...being that I had no idea that it had to be registered...so I got some "words of wisdom" from an enforcement agent the other day and decided i ought to try to get it registered.
IF i can find my reciept. If not my lil boat will be retired to the private ponds and gravel pits. Bummer.

Yup, anything with a motor - even a trolling motor - has to be registered. Might be time for a kayak....
