    Default Nice time 03-16-09

Well I decided to get out on the water today... ended up with 7 total, all were caught and released since I didn't feel like putting the knife to any. Here's the biggest of them, 16" and the scale said 1.84 lbs.

Congrats on the catch.. I am still trying to catch one that will measure 16 inches... done caught 3 that went 2lbs, but all were shorter than 16.

Seven like that would be just about right for a meal for me and the wife. Nice looking fish. I glad you got to enjoy the fun of it all and release them to do it all over again. Thanks for the picture.

That's a fine fish LSUguy! Wondering if you caught it out of that oxbow behind Pleasureville. Oh, you may not be familiar with Pleasureville. Let's see - the lake is between the levee and the river east of Lowe's, that hospital, and all that other mess. Used to be full of fish - and quite remote. I believe now it's part of a subdivision, but so's every other lake in the state!
Anyway, sorry about my rambling. Congrats again on the fish.

Nah I think that's the slough on E. Kings... this lake is off Clyde Fant behind the Island Park and Riverwalk apartments, and it wraps all the way around over to Champion Lake.
    Huge Bass and Crappie.
