Cold weather
So mother nature blows on us again. How long will this push back the spawn? Anybody hit chicot this weekend?

Just my opinion... This weather shouldn't affect the spawn much for a couple reasons. Just bc the weather dropped doesn't mean the water temp changed drastically. It may have dropped a few degrees. My depth finder said 56 yesterday. A few sun shiny days will turn that around and fish aren't neccessarily going to wait for the water temps to suit them perfectly. They will move until they find warm enough waters even if it means 6-8 foot. This is only true though in places like Darbonne and Bruin where the water is clear enough for the sun to hit the nests. Places where the water fluctuates and is more milky like Bayou Darbonne/spillway will produce fish with unlaid eggs up into June sometimes. So it really depends on where your plan on fishing. Ideal spawing temp is 63 so we're not too far away!
