that's black bayou for you unsophisticated folks. hehehe

well, me and my daddy in law went this mornign after dropping off little man at day care. we caught two fish. BUT, the one he caught was an absolute brute. gonna try to get a pic of him in a little bit. i bet he is close if not over three pounds. caught one under the bridge, but he was little and my daddy in law caught his on a dock. bothwere caught with shiners.

will get back with that pic in just a littel while.

here are the pics. i put her on the scale and tried to take a pic of the readings, but it is way dark and the flash just made all the numbers show up. so it looked like the fish weighed 58.8 pounds. didn't think yall would buy that, so i just put her down next to a tape. she weighted 3#3oz, and thats after she has been in an icechest since 1030 this morning. i bet she would hae gone 3 1/2 when we caught her. but she will taste good in my new fryer.

    enjoy the pics.

Man Mark, yall's fish must be alot heavier than ours. I caught 2 the other day that went 15" and they weighed in at just under 2 lbs (My scale could be off too!) It looks like that one measures between 14 and 15 inches. Anyway it is still a beautiful fish! :D Tell your dad in law congrats and thanks for the pictures. :D

shadow, i don't know if youi can tell this or not from the pic, but this fish was the fattest i have seen in a long time. she was rolling with eggs and really thick across the back. she was actually about 15 1/2 inches long. i kinda took the pic from an angle.

I hear you Mark, I was not trying to take away from your post at all! Hope you didn't read it that way. That is an extremely nice fish! I do think my scale is off a little too. Time to get a new scale. Anyway that is ONE NICE FISH! Thanks for the pictures.

Nice fish, but I've never seen a 3# fish under 161/2 inches. That one was a pig.
