On my way home from Cypress, I crossed 12 Mile bayou on I-220. I saw a boat heading south on it. Any ideas what they might have been fishing for? Has anyone ever caught any white perch to amount to anything up 12 Mile? It's a pretty good ride up it, but would it pay off?
Cajun Dave is a renowned 12mile crappie guru! They're in there, but I don't know if one time of year is better than another. It was October when I went up there with Dave.
clay,
TMB can be great crappie fishing, but since it is much more effected by the rain and stuff, it is very fickle and the conditions must be just right for it to produce in any quantity. there are a ton of great spots to fish, especially north of I-220. but when we get even a little rain, it gets a current and they seem to just shut it off.
holler at me and we will go give it a shot sometime.
