Thread: Cypress Lake 12/30

Went to Cypress today. Didn't get there 'til after 11:00 (babysitting). I caught 10. Five of them were really nice, including one over two pounds. The other five were on the dinky side, but still big enough to fillet. Sorry, no pictures. I'm technologically inept.

Jlaughlin, of course it is still considered babysitting. And I sure as heck wouldn't be babysitting someone else's kids. Mine are bad enough.
Docwaldo, I drifted mostly. There were a couple of times that I would kind of troll around in an area where I knew there were brushtops. I would start my drift in about 16' near the dam and just let the wind carry me north. I will be going back Thursday morning. Early this time.

I fished with a bell sinker on bottom. About 12" above that I have a shiner and 18" above the shiner I have a jig. I just drifted in 17'-19'. I just try to stay in areas where I'm seeing fish on my electronics. I didn't see very many in one spot. Where I was fishing, they seemed to be scattered yesterday.

I was thinking of going fishing thursday morning possibly cypress but that also means a new lake sticker.
