Bistineau lake level ?
Does anyone know if the lake level is back up. I was thinking of going tomorrow with the family we normally launch at the state park. I would go to cypress but I think the wind is going to be tough, and I thought at Bistineau we could get out of the wind some. Thanks for the info we do not get to go very often and the fish do not have much to fear from us, just like to have a good time with the wife and daughter.

Crossing Dorcheat on I-20 the water is still low. As far as launching at the State Park I dont know. I would call the park and ask. I know you can launch at Deweys in Doyline or at the Port O Bistineau.

Lake is still drained. You can launch at POB but can only fish the channel-watch for underwater obsticals.

As far as I know, you can only put in at POB, and Grises. The gates are still open at the dam. Stay in the channel as best you can.

Thanks everyone, we decided to go to D'arbonne instead, we were worried about the lake level. We did not do any good, launched out of the state park, but we did get to meet a real fisherman ( unlike us ), Slab Hunter. I think we will try to go to the next get together, thanks for the invite Slab Hunter. It sure was good to meet you.

Alot of it has gone out the dam. Some of it is just hung up in the trees where we can't get to it. It aint as bad as it was a few months ago.
