Thread: piccolo pete--HELP

okay---im stabbing in the dark. my uncle and cousin have a bait that they got from a buddy. the buddy calls it a "piccolo pete". but he won't tell them where he got it or who makes it. i am not even sure that it is called a piccolo pete. here is where i need some help.

the guy that makes them is an older fella, i think in his 70's or 80's. he used to live in the shreveport, La area. we have been told that he moved to the east cost somewhere, like north or south carolina and we even heard georgia. he makes this bait one at a time. here is what it looks like (although i have never seen it). it is a #3 or #4 willow leaf blade (the size that would be on a 1/4 oz spinner bait). it has a lead nose on it and a treble hook on the back. and split rings for the hook and to tie on to it. it also has a holographic sticker on both sides of the blade. it kinda resembles a big "gayblade" if yall know what that is.

does anyone know anything about this bait or where to get one? my uncle want one for christmas, and obviously it is too late for that. but h is birthday is coming up quick and im doing my due diligence to try to find them. any help is appreciated.

actually it is a #3 willow leaf blade.

I don't think that it's a rattletrap. The body is too thin. It looks like a gayblade w/ the the holograph superglued on the sides w/ either lead tape or molten lead on the nose.
Don't know who makes it but, it doesn't look hard to replicate.
