Fishing was a little better over on the Texas side Sunday, but man it was cold! Mostly barfish but did catch several good sized white perch.

I see a couple black crappie in there. Haven't seen many of those this year. Nice pictures BDF.

Don't catch a lot of the black crappie either, it was a pretty fish.

BDF - Do you think Black Crappie are larger on the average than White Crappie? Just curious what you think?

I don't honestly know. I've caught many more of the white crappie, and all of the ones over 2 lbs were white ones. Whats your experience with them?

I have caught quite a few white crappie this year & the specs seem to be larger than the white. I don't know either though. I haven't been fishing but about 3 to 4 months for these crappies! I will let you know when I have been catching them for a couple decades. That's about when I figure I will be able to break the addiction. I had a friend who will remain nameless for now that go me started on these things. Turns out he wasn't a friend b/c friends don't let friends start crappie fishing! He knew what HE was getting me into. As you can tell, I have a little pent up anguish over it. Man, it is some serious fun!!! Take care BDF!

Good catch donk. Y'all have my respect for fishing on a cold windy day like last Sunday. We caught a few bar fish late Saturday afternoon, but after church on Sunday I just stayed in and watched the Saints play.
