Thread: Caddo @ Mooringsport on 2/3/08

Even tho this cold that I have had for 2 weeks still hangs on, it is less now, so Steve and I went to Caddo at Mooringsport bridge.
Nothing but little catfish and goo going on there. Did not even catch one white perch. Fished shiners only. Guess it's over with there. We came in around 2 pm, and the sun came out about 30 mins. later. Water was calm till 2 then it came in from the east and cooler, and all fishing stopped. Only about 3 boats out there, and they weren't doing anything either. Anyone go to Johnson's Ranch this weekend?

Sorry to hear that you didn't have a great trip, but I bet it felt good to get out of the house after being cooped up for 2 weeks. Thanks for the report.

we were there yesterday and it was not good we caught 4 they were good ones but we fished from 8:30 to 2 so it was not good . i did have one that was over 2lbs. but thanks for your report fishingal

Missed you at Larto but I'm glad to see your over the crud and back fishing. Thats one nasty bug. My wife says half of the Hosp. is out sick this week with it. We are gonna have to find a new honey hole or find out where they went to. They gotta be somewhere between the river and where they spawn. Thats the tough part though. I fished the Red River pool 3 Monday/Tues and did well but those fish had moved shallow,,,,make that shallower.
