Well, a few friends and I went down to our camp at Bushy Head bayou and set out a few dozen yoyo's. We caught about 40 good white perch and about 2 dozen good catfish. We did catch one perch that was 2 lbs easy. One of the biggest I've ever seen. The fog was THICK friday night and made it tough. Saturday around lunch time we were going to go fishing down around Buzzards roost, in between Larto and Shad Lake. There were SO many people in the bayou! I'm used to shift work so most of the fishin I used to do was during the week, I haven't seen people stacked in like that in a loooong time. We counted over 70 boats by the time we made it back tot he govt. cut and headed back to the camp! We idled through the whole stretch and only saw 6 fish caught so we figured our chances were better baiting the yoyo's and stayin close to them! It sure was nice day though! I had planned on pictures but I forgot the camera in the truck at work, so maybe next time!

Austin, you making a habit of not taking that camera with you....lol..... Congrats on the catch. Last weekend when we were over there, there weren't that many boats, but they had a pretty good bit of them. Congrats on the ones yall caught, and thanks for the report.
You can't fish with a hung line!
70 boats thats amazing!Everybody stays hungry for them perch they FRY up real well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I PRACTICE CATCH & FRY---DONT EVERYBODY ?
I believe the reason for all of the boats is that hunting season is over and everyone if starting to fish now. It's gonna start getting busy now.
One of the reasons that I slow down, is that everyone else speeds up, after hunting season. :D:D
This is when it's good to fish during the week.![]()
But unlike others, I have to work Monday thru Friday, or take vacation, which is not out of the question, but I make sure the weather cooperates first.![]()
