Thread: Fun but off day on Caddo 1-30

Dmann got a few of us together yesterday to fish Caddo, Uncertain, and I set a new personal record. It was not good either. I ended up with 7 fish, all nice ones but until yesterday my worst day had been 16. I played all my Aces but they just where not cooperating for me. The ones I did catch where in 12 feet fishing 10 feet with jigs/minnows and came mid morning. Just south of the Dallas Club. I had a 1lb, 15oz, and a 1lb, 14 oz, smallest one was 1lb-3oz. Dmann and RedRiverBob where catching a lot of fish when I high tailed it at 3pm so I don't know how they ended up. CajunDave and Shane had about 15-16 gooduns counting a couple non-Crappie. PawPawPerch was there but threw in the towel around noon since the bite was off. He headed home to take advantage of the good weather and work on his next boat project. Thanks for the invite David. we caught alot of fish but they weren't keepers, the white, yellow bass, and catfish kept us busy, also alot of perch up to 10" or so that we didn't keep. put 9 fish in the boat up to 12-14" and RRBob done the puttin'. I didn't ketch a decent perch all day. the wind was tough and had a bite and most everyone was huddled round the north curve in the 14' hole outta tha wind and that's where we wound up. we fished 12' under a cork with shinners and jigs and jig with a niblet. it was tough fishin'. all you fellers I sent a pm invite to - well it shore cudda been a lot better, enjoyed fishin' with yall. maybe next time.

Don, with the group yall had out there on the water, the bite must have really been off for yall not to fill the boats. At least yall had some fun with friends.
