Hey Fishin Magician, I noticed that on your new rig it looks like you have a wireless trolling motor. If I remember correctly you also have one one your other rig. My question is are you happy with these trolling motors? Do they work well for slow trolling? Have you ever had any problems with them? Motorguide/Minn Kota? Only reason I ask is I am currently looking to purchase one and just interested in your input.
I have a great map of the lake with everything marked. Let me know if you would like to get a copy. Jim
Rudd fishing
Ok I have one that shows the main channel and it is marked with names of some of the areas, spring time areas, back of stowe around the cypresses, rattlesnake bend area, area up corney called the flats , if you are looking at the big yellow house on terral the bank to the left, I just go with a beetle spin or road runner and find an area where I catch a few and then go back through and fish slower with shinner, sometime you can find a spot and catch several nice fish
Thanks Fishing Magician for the D'Arbonne Map.
I am going to go now and put some X's on the bottom of my boat so I can find the hot spots when I get on the lake.

Yes I do! I love them. Only problem they have is they do not turn 180* around as fast as mechanical stering. Other then that electronic stering wins hands down. Autopilot is awesome... Just set it, and forget it! :D 101 thrust throws a wake on my 18' aluminum boat and is close on the 22' V-hull. I thought I would not use the remote very much but that feature is huge. You can control the boat from anywhere... That is number one perk of electronic... You are not chained to the foot pedal all day long. Its less stressful then constanly making adjustments to control the boat in wind or current. Now the only thing I could say to worry about is it is like a little computer on the front of your boat. So it is not as rugged as mechanical versions. I have already had to take the first one in for a electronic board replacement from getting salt water all over it...Originally Posted by CRAPINATOR
