Hands r tied we're a short time away from that, water temperature is the key, if you fish Darbonne when you here people catching them shallow at some of the smaller lakes like lafourche then start to keep an eye on the temp, we have a place on Boeuf and I've caught them shallow from march through april, if you know any bass fishermen ask them if they caught any perch on spinnerbait shallow, I know the ones I've been catching are full of eggs, there are some other guys on here that can give you better info, they will be around tomorrow
