How to get to larto from Baton Rouge?
I was looking on maps and it was kinda hard to find a good way to get to larto lake. I was wondering if any of you guys had a pointers as to of getting there. Also where would I go to launch a boat and camp? I can take scenic routes since i have a 4x4 so the quickest way works for me:D thanks

larto
Hi I am in br also, I usually launch at one of the landings at sailine. to get to larto you can go basically two ways. hwy 1 thru marksville to hwy 107 thurn on 115 deville/buckey take all the way until you hit hwy 28 east take left go until you hit a tee aka texaco town head towards jonesville then take right at hwy 124. there are ways to get by gravel road but you do not want to go that way.. real ruff.. or you can take i49 to alex then take first exit to pineville then turn hwy 28 east. hope this helps

You can go through jonesville or cut through Vick. I don't go by truck often, it's much quicker by boat for me. When I do go I take the Canal off 28 though. I like the scenery and don't mind taking my time. Once you get down it a few miles the road gets a lot better because it's not used as much and you can make pretty good time.
