I am interested in catching slabs int he spring shallow at D'bone. Is it better to fish up in Coney or little D'arbonne Creek in the spring? I have heard it can get good up in there.

I have never had a day in the spring where I caught the number or quality of fish I do in the winter. Either I am missing something or my timming/tactics for spring crappies are off...

Don't go Markum! The fishing is to too good. It'll mess up your concept of what a good lake should be. Jigster, you guys got it too easy. Makes you soft! HEHEHe. Don

when the water temp gets back to about 60 to 62 trees in 5 to 6 ft of water anywhere on the lake, water gets to about 65 to 68 trees at about 2 to 3 ft. boatright creek up corney or any cypress trees you can find in that depth. some good fishing up stowe creek about that time. hope that helps
