I had planned to hit the lake this morning but as I was loading all my gear the wind picked up earlier than I expected. With a John boat and paddle(can't have outboards where I was going), I just didn't have the urge to scull paddle until my shoulders gave out. I'm real dissapointed because I just know there was some hungry fish itching to hit some shiners. After this front, does anyone think there's a reasonable chance to be productive? I have doubts. If I'm going to waiste the day just soaking line, I'd rather go to the r/c club and get some serious stick time in on my giant model plane. What do yall think? Fish or fly?

I know you are a little ways from there but my favorite place after a front is Larto. And they have bayous where you can get out of the wind there. I was suppose to go duck hunting but the guy I was going with had to back out so I will go to church and then come home and watch some football. Good luck what ever you decide to do.

The fish are still there after a front and are still going to eat some time of the day, but I usually don't have much luck until about 2-3 days afterwards, but I'm still learning too.
Catch and Release: Catch the slabs and Release the little'uns
All my life I have fished and the only thing I know for sure is sometimes they bite and sometimes they don't. If I was smarter, I wouldn't go fishing when they're not biting. LOL The wind isn't a factor tomorrow. I can handle 15mph. It's the 20 gusting up to 30 that I can't hang with. I just hate to go out in the morning when I could be grabbing another layer of covers and catch up on some sleep. I hate making big decisions. lol Guess I will just have to get my lazy rear up and give it a try for a few hours, then go fly.
