Looks like I am getting to fish Saturday monring. According to the wweather, it is supposed to be nice the first part of the day then a front moving through that afternoon bringing with it 30 mph winds.
I almost hate to ask, but is Mooringsport still the place to go? Anyone been lately?
For now, that is where we are planning on going then if that don't work, we may make the run up into the river!
Last report I seen said that Mooringsport was muddy and the fish weren't biting, but around on the Texas side at Uncertain it was better. Things may have changed since then though.
You can't fish with a hung line!
I will be at mooringsport in the morning.I looked at weather.com at the hour to hour forcast and it said a little wind and rain early and then more rain and wind as the day goes on until around 2pm, then the rain will stop and the wind will be around 19mph by then. The wind will continue. If i don't do anything at mooringsport in the morning i'm gonna head to johnson's or the river if the rain is'nt to bad.If the rain is bad i'll probably just sit under the bridge at mooringsport.I have all day to fish with permission from the wife to stay all day so i am until i get my 50 or run out of daylight. What boat will you be in?
I plan to be our there at Mooringsport tomorrow morning too. Hopefully, the water will have cleared up and the fish's appetite will be active. Good luck to us all.

Not sure if we are taking mine or my buddies boat...it will either be a green/gold Progator or a black/silver Procraft.
How about ya'll? What boat will you be in?
Red 19ft express with 150 yamaha hpdi.
Talked to two different people who fished Mooringsport yesterday the 20th and both reported only catching one fish each. One went in the am and one in the pm .Water is still a little stained and they both said they didn't see any fish caught by other fisherman. Today I counted seven boats in the spot that was producing a week or so ago but don't know if the bite is comming back on . I have heard better reports from around the river area around Johnson's Ranch ,I think that place would produce more fish than Mport right now ,but who knows.

We may have to rethink things some! I heard a good report from Black Bayou-Benton yesterday...a friend of my fishing partner caught 35 yesterday afternoon.
We will be in my buddy's Black & Silver ProCraft with a 115 Mariner...If ya'll see us come say hi!
