    Default Black Bayou fish

Went to BB today and ended up with 21 and 1 cat. The cat was a personal best on a jig pole at 6lb 4oz. The biggest crappie was 1lb 8oz, but they were all good fish. I throwed back around 6 dinks. Fished 8ft deep in 10ft water around stumps. Bright pink this morning until noon and then grey afterwards.

Real nice bunch of fish Skipper, those big cats make for a good time on a jig pole.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Dang nice mess of slabs Skipper. Bet it was fun jiggin them up from around those stumps. You got me second guessing my weekend fishing location.

Nice quality fish with some brutes in the mix. I think a 3-4lber could come out of Black Bayou easy.

Whats the water level, temp, clarity looking like down there right now?

Markham; If we don't get some colder temps, then it's fixing to get hard to find fish. I watched a man using a grey hair jig with a shinner and cork, work the bank in 3ft of water and pull in some BIG slabs! He was paddleing all the way and probably had a limit by the end of the day. I caught a few at 14ft deep. The fish are in and out of the deep and shallow water. The water came up about a foot in a week and is muddy down to the bridge. The surface temp according to another fellow at daylight was 56 degrees. Several people are catching lots of fish from Dee's landing to the dam by spider rigging, drifting and trolling, but from what I hear, the fish are all small. Shad are in spots throughout, but not thick enough to walk on yet. I'm not sure what to tell you. It'll probably be a couple of weeks before I can go back, unless I can slip off Mon morning after work.

Nice fish Skipper. It is going to get cold, I keep telling myself that but I hope we do not get muddy and high water
