Thread: Anyone hit Caddo since the rains & cold front?

Anyone make it out there Sunday or today? How did ya do?

I had everything hooked up Saturday night ready to get up Sunday morning & head to Caddo. I woke my wife up at 6am & she had a sore throat & seemed to be getting sick so my trip out there got canceled!

I was just curious what we missed!

You didn't miss nothin . I fished from day light till about 11:00 and only caught one and foul hooked it at that . The water was 47' and a little more stained than it was . Counted ten boats at one point and no one catching . Some of the fisherman said that Sunday wasn't any better .

Steve said that on Sunday the roads were a safer place because all of us idgits were on Caddo Sunday. Not even a bite!! Not on shiners or jigs. Fish were there on the fishfinder, but they had lockjaw! We were there from 10:45 till 2:45 and gave up on 'em. Nothing at all compared to the weekend last Sat. and Sun 12/8 & 12/9. Should have known the first rule and applied it! No fish will bite after a cold front and rain. The water was muddy too. No one else was catching. About 8 boats there and only one man there had caught a perch, and it was a dink.

I didn't do anything either Jane...... Left at 10:30AM.....
My depth finder showed fish also, but I don't believe they were crappie.

Read Marham's post that he went to Uncertain (Texas side) and caught good.

It's Muddy. I have not seen it since Sunday but the water at Mooringsport was way too stained to fish then. All reports say, "caught one yellow bass" or "snagged one shad" you know its bad. I think it just got too stained for them to feed. If it cleared up it might turn on again.

Yeah I wish I had your number in my phone Sunday Randy. I called Cajun Dave and he was gunna call a couple other folks headed to Mooringsport but he said he had your number but it was at home.
