What are the limits on crappie out on Caddo? How many fish? Any length restrictions?
Bassadict, from what I can see, it goes by La laws with 50 fish and no size. I thought it would be like Toledo, with Texas laws of 25 fish and 10 inch. Here is a link I found, Hope it helps you.

You can't fish with a hung line!
if you are on the Louisiana side of Caddo its Louisiana law. (50 w/ no size) IF you are on the Texas side its 10 inches and 25 limit... Also only yo-yos on the Louisiana side and even there they are pretty restricted. (like 10-20 total and you may need name and address on them or hae to stay with them)

Thanks Guys...I do see an error with it though...
Fishing Regulations:
Bass -- eight per day, all 14 inches or longer. Should be a slot of 14-17 (La) & 14-18 (Tx)
Crappie -- 50 per day, no length limit.
You are correct, here is from the La wildlife and fisheries site.Originally Posted by bassadict69

FYI, Toledo bend For black and white crappie, minimum length limit=10 inches and daily bag and possession limit=50 in any combination.
For black and white crappie caught from December 1 through the last day of February, there is no minimum length limit and all crappie caught must be retained. Daily bag and possession limit is still 50. Don
Also be careful because what I read said that all gamefishes except bass are governed by the state in which you are fishing. Crappie limits in Texas are 25 daily and 10 length
Hey Don, did they put a size limit on the LA side at Toledo Bend? Last I heard TX wanted LA to but LA said no. If they have changed it do you have a link to the new restrictions?Originally Posted by percher

Help our state and go by Texas laws of 10" and 25 fish. Just my thoughts.![]()
I usually don't keep any under 10" unless my father-in-law wants some scalers. As far as the 25 fish, I think I may have caught that many 1 time so you don't have to worry about me hurting the population. On the other hand there have to be reasons for them setting or not setting certain limits. I am no expert but if the experts say that I can catch that many and I will NOT waste them, then I don't have a problem keeping the limit. (If that ever happensOriginally Posted by TIGHT EYE
