Went to BB today and met up with Treefrog. I ended up keeping 20 and throwing back about the same amount. Caught them in 8ft of water, fishing 6ft deep by submerged stumps. Caught all on grey hair jigs (a few different color combinations). Gave the fish to TF, so I don't have a pic. I did get a pic of TF with a 6lb 2oz gou. He said it put up a heck of a fight! I didn't get to see it, cause we were trying different spots.

Catch and Release: Catch the slabs and Release the little'uns
Sounds like y'all had a good day. Looks like the front didn't get down there, it was drizzling and cooler here today and the wind change from south to north. Sure is a big ol goo.
A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Sounds like yall had a good trip. And as for that goo, thats a nice one. Congrats to you and Brandon, and thanks for the pic/post.
You can't fish with a hung line!
Now thats a SLAB!
Filet that beauty and call me for dinner!
Oh and thanks for the report guys, If they ever pile up in that deep water when the shad are thick as thieves I may make the drive down there and join yall. What was the size on the ones yall kept?

Markham; The shad are in there, but they aren't in force yet. I probably had 12 fish that were at or over 14 inches with one about 16in. I didn't weigh them, but I'd say that those 12 were between 1 1/2lbs and 1lb 14oz. I don't believe there was a 2-fer in the bunch. The rest were all about 12 inches with probably nothing less than 11in. The 20 or so throwbacks were 10in or less. They're in the shallows one day and the deep on the next. Probably be like that until some colder weather. I'm gonna try again about Wed of next week after the front.Originally Posted by Fishin_Magician
