My brother and I went to Lake Chicot in lower Ark. friday and had a good day. We caught 30 crappie from 10 in. to 14 in. I took us all day but had a great time. We caught a few with jigs, but most were on pink shiners under a slipcork. We caught the fish about 2 1/2ft deep around trees and snags just like spring fishing. My cousin and I went back today and we caught a limit of 20 each, also good crappie from 10-14 in. We caught all of these on pinks shiners about 2 1/2 ft, deep around structure. Will be going back tomorrow with a friend from work, hope we can do as well.
Our catch from Friday.
A couple I caught today.
My cousin with a couple of good'uns.
Our catch for today.
It sure was some warm weather today for December, the fish don't know what to do. Hope they'll stay confused and bite for us tomorrow.
A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Jerry, thats a nice catch for yall, Congrats. Looks like yall got some pretty thick ones in the mix. When you say pink minnows, is that the same thing as the Rosey Reds? or is it some minnows that are died pink?
You can't fish with a hung line!
Yeah Johnny, it's the same minnow.

Nice quality fish. Just goes to show you that even when its December sometimes those crappie behave like its April. I guess that's why they call it fishing and not catching. Hope you guys stay on them. Good Luck!!!
