I don't know how it happened but we had a mini get-together today on Caddo that the fishing was great. Cajun Dave, Doc waldo, H/H spinner and his daughter, Fishingal and her husb, X-19 and partner, and more. Dave has the pictures. I know Fishingal and her Husb had a bunch of gen-u-wine Biguns. Dave and and Doc where working on a limit and I had a limit (48 but I thought I had 50) and was gone by 2:15. My big fish was 1lb, 9.5oz but most where around 3/4 pound to pound/half. All but one elected to go home and visit my little lake. I caught all of mine on the edge of the channel in 16-22 feet fishing black and silver on the bottom. I enjoyed fishing and visiting with all you guys. Made for a nice day! Seeya, Don
Sounds like eveyone had a great day fishing. One of these days I want to come over and fish Caddo.
Let's go fishing.
Yes we had a great time watching ever one bring them slabs in. We couldn't seem to get it together and only had five. Hey Percher that was my wife with me; Chris, she enjoys being on the water just as much as I do.

Man Don, that sounds like a great day! Glad everyone caught some. Your little lake should be getting full by now. Thanks for the report.

Dang I'm sorry H/H. Yall must be from Arkansas:D . They got to be 15 before you can marry 'em down here:D :D .
(I'm kidding now. I meant to type "Wife" not Daughter.)
I wish my sweetie enjoyed fishin', sure would be nice to have a built in fishin' partner. I guess its no help when she chips in on gas & minners though since the money comes from the same place. Enjoyed hangin' out with you guys. Don
Sounds like ya'll had a blast Don! :D Who cooked?![]()
Catch and Release: Catch the slabs and Release the little'uns
We all cooked,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,in the 80+ degree heat. I didn't watch the weather and dressed like it was winter. If Jane and Chris wouldn't have been there I could have fished in my Fruit of the loom's.
[Dear all at CDC:
I can't tell you when if ever the last time we caught that many fish and the quality of those fish. Steve caught one perch that was 15.5 inches long and weighed 1 lb. 9 oz. and that was the only one that we measured and weighed. The rest are on ice in the cooler, but they really were good sized fish.
Don, I enjoyed meeting you up close and personal. Now, as a nurse for 35 years, don't you think I have seen people in their skivvies?? and much less?? But the same is true for us, we had to go to the bank for a nature retreat and to get more shiners.
Those big crappie liked 2 inch minnows, and I found that out. We will measure and weigh the big 'uns tomorrow. I will take some pics of them tomorrow, and TRY, TRY, TRY to post them in photobucket, but I have never been able to do it, but i'll try.
Dave, H & H and your wife, and others, I really enjoyed meeting all of you. I have met you before Dave, and you are a real outgoing sort of man. You really enjoy this sport.
Thanks to all of you. There was only one a-hole out there today and he was casting his cork about 60 feet and telling Don that he was in his space. Yeah Don, we all heard it, and he is not a member of CDC, I don't think. What a jerk he was. Very few of those people out there, thank God.
Tight lines to all of ya!

He leadeth me by the still waters.
Sounds like yall had a great day on the water. Congrats to all of you on your catch. Looking forward to seeing all of you at Larto in January, hopefully we will get some colder weather and the bite will pick up there... Looking forward to the pics.
You can't fish with a hung line!
Wow, that sounds like a really good day on the water. Glad everyone had a good time and caught fish. Look forward to the pictures.
A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.
