Thread: Larto 12-6-07

Well me and my cousin drove up to Larto Wed. night and fished all day Thursday. The wind was hurricane force Wed. night and I was getting worried. Well Thursday morning the wind died down :D and we were able to get out and make a trip. We fished both sides of the island with nothing coming off the right hand side and the only nice crappie we caught coming off the left hand side but that was it for the lake.
We fished within 200 yards from the launch at YoungBloods and caught the rest of our 16 crappie there. Did talk to a guy that was fishing shiners by the Buzzrd Roost and said he caught 35 fishing in 18-20 fow fishing 12 feet down.

Sorry no pictures this time but really didn't have anything picture worthy!
Well I probably want be back over there until the get together but thought some of you that live a little close may want some information.

Thank for the report.Where is Youngbloods landing located im not familiar with Saline.Only fished there a few times.

HHC, I know how to get there but don't know the names of the roads. You turn off before you get to UncleBud's. Slab Hunter could give you better directions than I can. Sorry but I am still learning Larto myself.

Thanks,I ve fish out of Woodson's and Open bayou and was wondering if young bloods was in that area.

Youngbloods is on the opposite end from Woodson's/Open Bayou. It's by Larto.

I told you to come by on your way and get my camera.....lol...... its the camera, if you go to Larto without a camera you not gonna catch as good.....lol... At least you got a chance to get over there and see what they are doing. Hopefully we can get some COLD weather that will stay and get them to stack up...... I am getting tired of sweating and getting sunburned sitting on the deer stand...lol
