    I caught a fish on Darbonne this afternoon that had something attached to it. It was alive and looked like an eel. Anybody ever seen this?Name:  IMG_1397.jpg

    Looks like a Lamprey. Have caught several in seine nets in the Pigeon River in East Tennessee while conducting Ecology Field trips. I think the species found here is the Mountain Brook Lamprey.

    Definitely a lamprey. Ouachita river is full of them. First time I have ever heard of one in the lake. Cool!

    Yep ! It’s a lamprey and I have caught several bass with them attached like this on D’Arbonne.

    I have caught several fish that had bite marks ... I wish the Bass would hunt them down
