OOOOH ---- Brings back haunting memory -- while Squirrel hunting the bank of the lake, I shot a woodduck. It landed in the water about 70 feet from the Bank. the temp was about 45 degrees .... it layed motionless about 5 minutes ---- I stripped off to swim after my first wood Duck and went in after it ,,,, when I was about 20 feet away it looked up and swam away like it was his plan all the time.. Three days later I was in the Hospital with Pneumonia ---- I scratched duck hunting off the Bucket List

Use to skip school and go duck hunting as a teen. Lost a couple a friends back then do to the cold and a swamped boat. Never duck hunted again.

Sure did at the time. I was suppose to go with em. One of the three made it to shore by hanging on the decoy bag.He was never the same.
