    Default Darbonne Gathering

Hey fellow perch jerkers! I wanted to let y'all know that I have been in contact with Doc Waldo and have decided to take over and coordinate this event! November 9,10 and 11 will be the days. My father (Maxwell328) will help me also! Any help of any kind would be greatly appreciated! No help turned down! I know it's going to be a tough job to try and fill Docs shoes because of the outstanding job he has done in past years! I will begin here in the next few days starting to send out emails and phone calls to try and round us up some door prizes! Maxwell328 has rented the Lodge #6 for Thur..Fri..Sat nights for us to gather in for eating and fellowshipping! It will also sleep 12 people comfortably so if anyone wants to stay in Lodge and pitch in some money back to him..your more then welcome! Me and Dad will stay Thursday night there and move to Lodge #5 Friday with our wives and children! We will eat as usual.. Thursday night we can grill, Friday night will be pot luck, Saturday night will be the fish fry! As many of you...this is a highlight of our year also! We really look forward to fellowshipping with you all every November! If any questions feel free to call or text me anytime!

    Thanx,
    Joshua (Juicy) Maxwell

That is wonderful news---- Thanks for the support of all your family.... I have been working on some poles that are just for the Crappie Kids -- smaller poles lighter in weight , that wont wear them out fishing. and I will be looking for other Broken Rods to make up another batch for next Years Crappie Kids --- some are Spincast others are for spinning reels

Can't wait. We will have a great time.
I fish 7 days a week; some days for fish, everyday for men.

Hey Larry, are you just collecting old rods that can be handed out to kids that need them? If so, I may have some to help out, but I don't know how many. Let me know though and you can have them, assuming they're still good. There were a bunch in the shed at the lake.

I am trying to Refurbish Rods that have good handles --- refinishing the blank - replace guides - tips ... In some cases rewrapping all the guides and new epoxy... some tips are slightly shorter but in good shape to catch all the monster Crappie to make smiles ,,, their own poles !!!! I wish I could supply spincast reels for their first poles but I dont have any more putting them on bro's poles..... Any thing can be used and I have 4 ready now and two more that need a guide. Next Years poles can be better

This is Great News. I stated on a different post, I am in the middle of being relocated this month to a different Plant with my job. I am hopefull I still can get the vacation days I had planned to be at 2017 gathering. I will contact you Juicy, a soon as I am positive I can make the gathering and help in anyway I can.

Thanks Team Over-Alls, for keeping this great event going.
If you dont have time to do it right the first time, when are you going to find time time to fix it.
