    Default Lowrance and Maps

I bought a Lowrance Elite ti. The maps are horrible. I fish Larto and most of the bayou to Saline doesn't show. Anyone buy the aftermarket maps and have any better images?

No good maps out there except for the satellite images mentioned in the post above.......since they have come out with the "recording and uploading" your sonar logs, there are some stuff on the Navionics and Insight Genesis but not near enough to give you the the shore outline for the whole complex. Now with the Elite Ti/Lowrance units you can have a free IG account, record sonar and upload to the website and it will add to whats there on the site, but this will give you contours.......

I bought a Garmin Echomap 53cv yesterday. I compared it to the Lowrance and Humminbird for hours. The Elite ti was a little more than I wanted to spend and decided to go with the Garmin since the included maps are better. But from what I was told at Bass pro, the Lowrance Elite has better options for mapping if you want to spend the extra money. For where I fish, the Garmin LakeVu maps will be good enough. I also have the option to buy the Louisiana Bayou card which covers most everything south of I-10 and can be overlaid with satellite images. I think you'll be happy with the Lowrance once you buy the maps. Google Navionics.

Youall are way over my head.
Can I upload the information on my unit? I know the complex like my hand, but run at night a good bit.

I saw no options for the inland lakes in Louisiana outside of TB.

I think this is similar to what's preloaded on my Garmin

The maps I have should load up all you would have to do is load the file I can email to you and then you load it on a SD card and plug it into your unit and you will have a satellite image on your map screen.
