I'm glad you got to go with your wife and catch yall some good groceries!
My wife and I went to Grand Bayou on Tuesday since she is out of school for spring break. We brought home 11 very good crappie. All caught in the trees in 5-6 fow. Six of them were caught on 1/32 oz. hair jig that I tied; red/chartreuse. Four were caught on a 1/32 oz. jig that I tied; pink/blue/chartreuse rubber. Diane caught one on a red/chartreuse tube jig hanging under a cork on a pink head. I let her choose her own colors.
The bite was very light. No thump. All of the fish I caught actually hit the jig as I was picking it up instead of on the fall. Just had to watch the line very closely. Had a great time and got enough fish to feed us and 2 of the grandkids that will be here Thursday.
No pictures.
