Thread: City Park in New Orleans

I keep my jiggin pole and ultra lite in my truck at all times just in case i have some spare time. I stopped today in City park... I walked fast and only pitched brush piles i could see... end the short trip with 2 bass and 4 goggle eye...

I believe they have already spawn in the park, and if I'm correct its going to be real hard to locate the sacs cause they should be in deeper water suspended over brush piles? I cant put any type of boat in there to run a grid looking for deep brush piles, so short of making a bunch of random cast, I'm kinda stuck. Unless i buy one of those castable sonars (iBooble) but for 200 bucks there better be a big return on that investment.

Yeah, there are some nice sacs in and around City Park and body of water off Wisner. The weather has been very warm and they might have already spawned there. I wouldn't invest in the iBooble for use in City Park. Just keep pitching black and chartreuse and/or any grass shrimp type jib under a small cork and you should pick up a few.

I just think they need to change the rules and let us take pirogues or my nucanoe in there and we could help control the population better...
